In 1990 the Iowa Department of Inspections and Appeals honored Deputy Dave White and
Deputy C. J. Ryan for outstanding investigative efforts in the prosecution of 17 individuals
for welfare fraud. This effort was one of the largest welfare fraud investigations ever
conducted in the State of Iowa.
